Benjamin Button

I have seen the movie “The curious case of Benjamin Button”

The movie is based on the story by F. Scott Fitzgerald and i think it is one of Brad Pitt’s best works to date.

I don’t want to reveal information about the scenario since I believe the movie is far more enjoyable knowing nothing about it. But I am almost sure that this movie will mean something different to every person who watches it.

Along with several deep thoughts stirred in my mind, i received a very strong message at the end that i believe all of us shall keep in mind to give a better orientation to life.

Here is the strongest message i will remember.

“Some people, were born to sit by a river. Some get struck by lightning. Some have an ear for music. Some are artists. Some swim. Some know buttons. Some know Shakespeare. Some are mothers. And some people, dance.”

A simple and memorable epic.

Empathical Sincerity – The case of Palestine – Gazza and Israel

If you are living a life close to western standards but without security, that is very normal to ask security from your government and support policies to fix it. I think that is what an average Israeli is looking for.

If you are living in a traditional society where the religion has set the standards for such living and you are suffering from poverty and hunger and in a war, you are suffering civilian deads and paying for the penalty with the lives of innocents, that is also a very tragic situation. I think that is how it looks like in Gazza for Palestinians.

All recognize the Jewish history with exiles, massacres and humanity crimes. There are nations other than Jews who lived the same destiny but Jews are indisputably one of those who suffered most.

So, what can be the facts behind the act of killing innocent children and elderly people together with a bunch of terrorists?

Each part has its own reasons to support their act. And Israel is right to ask for its rights to offer its citizens a country for a better living. On the other hand, innocent deads among those helpless Palestinians will always be remembered with deep sorrow and as a tragedy.

I have friends from both sides but the fact is that Middle East stinks. And if you smell deep enough to identify the source of the reeking odour, you will regretfully see the US, British and French interests working in harmony to continuously disturb the region.

Oh by the way, it is easy to accuse US, British or French nations for their behind-the-curtain policies but that does not also explain anything from a wider perspective. Please look deep into the world history and clashes of nations through endless massacres and the ancient art of cruelty. What you will see will be the core nature of humanbeing, well, not the homo erectus, but the homo ludens!
Is it again a curious case of ordinary "Homo homini lupus"?

Oh, yes! Human stinks.

"Come Dine With me?"

Well i wonder which one is more harmful for me? Fast food or a new TV show called "Come Dine With Me"? First one physically damages your health, and the latter kills you slowly, more like a psychological torture, a contemporary way of remote mobbing...

I heard this TV show had high ratings also in USA, France, Germany, UK, Hungary, Denmark and Croatia.

It strengthens my theory about the "World stinks". I was not hopeful about USA or UK actually but it was surprising for me to see high ratings in countries like Croatia and Hungary, of which i always dreamed for being a little far from the madding crowd.

Before i watched this show on the TV and realize how people can be this rude to each other for winning a comptetition of Euro 5ooo at the end, i always believed that Turkey was still a traditional country with relatively more traditional people with regards to its surrounding western countries and civilizations. Well that is quite questionable now. (Our parents always told us hosting guests at home for a dinner requires special attention, kind of a polite ritual where people should show courtesy and modesty to each other!)

5 persons in turn host competitors at their homes and cook for the guests. The guests, from the very first minute, start criticizing the quality of cook and serving, but god! What a nasty, impolite, absurd way of conversations are going on, i can't watch it anymore.

Are those people similar to many around us? The answer is YES!
Did they just show up for this TV show or are they really sincere about how they behave and tell to each other? I am afraid they are "as seen on the TV"

The summary is: "Homo Homini Lupus"
It stinks!

This TV show brought the quality and intellectuality we were missing in our lives. Thanks for the crap world and popular socio-engineers who designed this program. My kid has another good reason for being kept away from the TV again.
